Join the SCREENWRITER'S SUPPORT GROUP OF LONDON on Facebook through this link!

https://www.facebook.com/groups/SighthoundScreenwriters/

Come out to our bi-weekly meetups and get the support, insights and/or isolation to work that you need to meet your screenwriting goals! Instructor Jordan Morris of Sighthound Studio will be on hand each night to discuss where you are at, what your goals are, and what you need to succeed.

Please help spread the word and invite anyone you know who is curious about screenwriting to first join the group on Facebook and then attend our meet-ups. Isn’t it time you finished that screenplay? Let us help!

Our hope is that we can use the Facebook group as our "community centre" of sorts and that our members can communicate with Jordan and amongst yourselves as they work so that we can all learn from our collective experience.

WHEN & WHERE:

We have been very graciously given access to the basement meeting room at the FOX & FIDDLE pub downtown in the CitiPlaza. The basement stairs are close to the mall entrance near the base of the escalators. Enter that doorway (as seen in the photo) and turn right. There are two flights: the first is to the washroom facilities level and a second will take you down to our space.

We will be meeting there twice monthly from 7 pm to 9 pm to start and the first three months' meetings are as follows:

March 11 & 25
April 8 & 22
May 13 & 27

We are VERY lucky to have the use of such a nice space in such a central location, but there are a couple of details everyone needs to be aware of:

Firstly, we will be sharing the space with another group known as "Shut Up & Write!" They meet every week, and they are largely focused on the publishing world with novels and such, but they do have some screenwriters whom I hope will migrate over to our ranks as well.

There are two distinct areas in the basement space, so we'll take whichever side those folks don't as they were there first. I've attended their meetings as well, and everyone is very nice and welcoming. Despite not being screenwriters, their goals are largely the same as ours: to create a safe and collaborative environment that their writers can either work undistracted in, or receive the support and insight they need to reach their goals.

Finally, because this space is typically only opened up to groups of 40-50 who are there to buy food and drink, there is some expectation of generating sales for them. I do not want this to sound like an ultimatum, but be aware that they are required to staff the space and that our server needs to make a living, so please consider doing business with Fox & Fiddle as a courtesy and a thank you to their manager Arlene who has made this all possible.

And there you have it! On Monday the 11th at 7 pm please come out and let's discuss where you are at, what your goals are, what you need from the group, and together we will find a way to help you achieve your screenwriting goals!

Please spread the word and invite anyone you know who is curious to attend and to join this Facebook group.

My hope is that we can use this group as our "community centre" of sorts and that our members can communicate with me and amongst yourselves so that we can all learn from our collective experience.

See you there!

P.S. For those who are serious about studying the art and science of screenwriting, Sighthound Studio and The Forest City Film Festival are presenting the FUNDAMENTALS OF SCREENWRITING MASTERCLASS later this month!
